Gems of the Fall Semester.

So Ihavemanaged to produce 3 paintings of varying sizes in the fall… but only one - “Carpe-Noctem” was *Featured at Gallery 1313 during Nuit Blanche! ;) (September) and it’s the biggest of the three. “Face Her Gods” was a fun commission that I did in early October. Since the last “The Sentry” was soooo small I also did it in October; it was for class. *I have two big projects sitting in the hallway dying to be done - So those will probably be started in 2013! HAPPY NEW YEAR If I don’t post anything until then since I’ll be working away or celebrating :D :D.

SHE-HULK Story….

For the Month of July, this is what I worked on! a two panel storyboard telling of a Red She-Hulk Transformation - a woman named Mya Ying is bitten by a Gamma Radiated Snake which turned her into a She-Hulk! My interpretation of Marvel’s Red She-Hulk.

These are the two big pieces I’ve been working on directly after Hell Girl: II - the Samayo piece is Huge, at 60x60 Inches, while the other piece is not as wide it’s 36x60 Inches.

SAMAYO, as I’m code-naming it, Was done for the Bodies of Art Competition which asked artist students to create an original design that involved applying body-paint to a model, fabric and other found objects. So I’ve fully designed all you see on her - the fabric around her was already flowing like this - I just altered it somewhat.

XAVIER - a commission for my disabled brother who won the Centennial Flame award, honoring one disabled person in Canada every year. Obviously I took on theme of Charles Xavier from the X-Men with Rogue pulling the wheelchair. The background is meant to be the hallway before Cerebro in the movie.

This is  a sequel to my previous Hell Girl painting where I’ve had a chance to improve Everything. Attributes: Oil On Wood / 48x60” - It’s BIG.

*Delve into the Story:

Suspended in this block of stone…ever since I was…incepted. Not sure for just how many decades now- all I know is that I breathe my first hot breath nakedly and that I began to make my way into the impenetrable dark around me, to reach aboveground and find myself… In a land of what - I have no clue. I…I find fitting garments from one of my gender on some sort of mechanical beast that I also decide I want to take possession of… But first I continue to explore and walk some ways across road to get my bearings in these garments- while my eyes and heart search for the core meaning of all this.
